March Favourites

March Favourites // Maddie's Beauty Spot

Welcome to my March Favourites! This month I’ve done the most shopping/received lots of gifts as it was my birthday so I have all new favourites to talk about. I’ll also be doing a haul post soon with everything I picked up in the recent months.

March Favourites // Maddie's Beauty Spot

First up:
YSL Black Opium perfume: I love this perfume, and finally received a bottle for my birthday from my sister! I just got a 30ml bottle as I have a habit of getting sick of perfumes before I am even halfway through so I’m making a conscious effort to get smaller bottles. The bottle is so stunning, and the smell is a musky scent. I can’t describe smells to save my life, but get yourself to a store and smell it stat!

Rosehip Plus Rosehip Oil: Rosehip kindly sent me a bottle of their rosehip oil and latest cream cleanser (Autumn skincare post coming soon!) to try out and I love love rosehip oil! I tried so many things last year when my skin was flaking off and nothing worked until I tried this rosehip oil. I use the smallest amount of this so it will literally last forever (until it expires anywho) and use it after I cleanse my skin in the shower. Once it dries I add my moisturiser.

Mac lipstick in Fashion Revival: I picked up this lipstick at the Estee Lauder Corporate Store on my birthday weekend (coming up in the haul soon), and LOVE the colour. It’s a more wearable “Rebel” in my opinion. It’s a satin finish.March Favourites // Maddie's Beauty Spot

Nars eyeshadow primer: I received this deluxe sample at my Nars event I attended recently, and I was so excited as I was thinking of purchasing it. I love the wand applicator and how little product comes out at once so I’m not wasting product and it’s not going watering (cough, Too Faced, Cough).

Nars Blush in Luster: I’ve had my eye on this blush since it was in one of the Steven Klein palettes last year. It’s a beautiful orange, but don’t be scared because it’s a stunning glowy colour. It has shimmer but it looks naturally glowy. I picked up this blush and Sin at the Nars event I attended recently.

Nars Blush in Sin: This is such an underestimated blush! It’s a beautiful plum colour which gold shimmer in it. I think it may have been discontinued as they Cosmetica store didn’t have any on display but they still had them for sale. It will be even nicer when the weather is cooler as it’s probably more of an Autumn/Winter colour.

Mac Blush in Make You Mine: This blush is a lovely colour, and I’ve always wanted a Mac blush. This blush is a Pro Longwear one, and therefore lasts longer on your skin. I love the plummy colour and this will be beautiful in winter with a dark lip!

T-B: Luster, Sin, Make You Mine

OPI mini nail polish in All Charged Up: I love this shade and yes it is a mini OPI from their “pastels” collection. It’s the brightest colour in the collection and I’m currently wearing it on my toes!

What are your favourites this month?

  • Hope you had a wonderful birthday! As soon as I saw Make You Mine I thought yaaas! It’s one of my favourite MAC blushes 🙂 I’ve also always wanted Sin, it’s so pretty and I think it’s the perfect shade for the colder months. Black Opium is the bomb dot com too, hope you get lots of use out of it! xx

    • I never would have thought about a Mac blush if I hadn’t seen it at the Corporate Store! Love the shade though 🙂
Sin is amazing! I think Luster is my favourite of the three though.
Black Opium is lovely but I’m glad I got a 30ml in case it goes off or I get sick of it, I’m not stuck with a huge bottle haha

  • Love the Nars eye shadow primer it is my holy grail product and the only one I have found to actually work really well on my oily eyelids. Sin had been on my wishlist for awhile and I really need to go and smell that YSL perfume it looks so good.

    • It’s very different to the UD primer – I think possibly less effective as that’s more of a base but I love the Nars one for being light and everyday 🙂
Oh Sin is lovely! Such a nice winter shade I think.
The YSL perfume is delicious smelling 🙂

  • What a gorgeous bunch of favourites! Happy Birthday!! <3

  • So many pretty things! I have been wanting to try the NARS blush in Luster for ages and then finally got to try it when I bought the Steven Klein One Shocking Moment Palette. It’s so gorgeous. I use it all the time. I really like the MAC lipstick too. Such a gorgeous winter shade! Great favourites! I hope you had a lovely Birthday!!!!

    • I regret not getting that palette – I bought the Despair palette instead! I figured since I already had Laguna, and wouldn’t use the contour set…
I think the lipstick is similar and more “pink” than Mac Rebel.

  • I love the NARS Eyeshadow Primer so much, it’s my favourite xx

  • Need to get my hands on that Eyeshadow primer! Think it would work magic for my oily lids x

    • I think the UD primer is the best for oily lids – in terms of longevity I would go UD, Too Faced, then Nars from my collection.

  • Gorgeous faves! I don’t think I’ve seen that MAC shade before, it’s so pretty! I love Luster as well – suck a pretty, glowy blush! Rose hip oil is an absolute staple for me. I have the rose hip plus one too but I’m trying to use others first!
