A few days ago, I picked up my Quarterly Beauty Loop box from Mecca Maxima in Level One. I was just $10 under the cut off for Level 2 on the cut-off day in mid July, however now I am definitely Level 2!
I’ve been using the By Terry Mascara the last week since I picked up my Beauty Loop Box, and I’m finding it great for lengthening my lashes and darkening them to be very full and long so that’s living up to it’s title! It retails for $65 at Mecca.
The Ren 1 minute facial was an interesting one, as it’s like an exfoliating gel which you smooth out and scrub on your skin, then wait 1 minute and rinse off! I did find it a nice gentle exfoliator on my combination skin, and I made sure to concentrate it on my nose/around my mouth/cheek area where I get the most dry skin! This retails for $59 at Mecca.
After this, I used the Kate Somerville Daily Moisturiser. I found this moisturiser to be very runny at first and seemed very slimy! Once it was rubbed into my face, it left my face very firm and as though it was a mattifying moisturiser, which I’ve never used before! I thought this sample would leave my skin feeling very dry and peely, as it didn’t feel very moisturising in the same way my regular one by Olay does. However, by the end of the day, I didn’t notice any dry skin, and my forehead wasn’t even very oily! This retails for $86 at Mecca.
Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturiser was an interesting one to sample, at first I really enjoyed it, but now I think I was just enjoying the effects of the Kate Somerville Moisturiser! This moisturiser looks and feels like an extremely thick and tacky to your skin sunscreen! Very strange. I found it took a little while to dry on my skin and was non-greasy but overall I wasn’t disappointed. Unfortunately I can’t find the retail price for this one on the Mecca website.
