#OPJEASTERBEAUTYTREATS Challenge Part 3: Eyes

Other than Mascara, I’ve only recently become interested in using eyeshadow on a daily basis. This has of course led to my recent purchases of the Urban Decay Naked Palettes, which started when I was in America with the Naked Basics Palette.

Eyeshadows:
I purchased the Naked Two palette on the day of the Mecca launch after a long debate over whether to purchase the 2 or 3. Did anyone else have this problem ha (#firstworldproblems)? I returned a week later to purchase the third palette, but after being told that all Mecca’s including mine, are running extremely low on the first palette, I decided last minute to purchase both, rather than wait 6 weeks for a chance to purchase the first palette. I’m loving them all so far and have been having so much fun experimenting with different looks for all three, I’ve learnt from Youtube and on blogs.

Before I purchased the Naked Palette’s the only eyeshadow’s I had owned were the sample ones you get from purchasing Estee Lauder and Clinique among others I had gained from my mother. It’s nice to have a variety of colours as the predominant colours I had from my samples are browns.

Mascaras:
Two Faced Better Than Sex Mascara: I haven’t been overly impressed by this mascara to be honest… I’ve found it to be a bit bland and doesn’t seem to do much for my lashes at all. In the first 20 minutes, I was impressed and that’s generally the same for each use, but after this, it easily simmers down in my opinion. I haven’t been bothered by the wetness at the beginning of it’s use as it seems to bother some people, but it seems pretty similar to others. Definitely doesn’t live up to it’s title ha!

Benefit They’re Real Mascara: My absolute Holy Grail of a mascara! Thick, one layer does the trick and hold my curl well. The mascara is extremely black and the only thing I don’t like is how hard it is to get off. Doesn’t seem to come off with makeup wipes or just water. It often works in my favour, as I don’t need to wear much mascara the next day to keep up my great eyelashes.

Another recent mascara is the Maybelline One by One Volume Express my mum gave me because she didn’t like it. However, I think it’s actually pretty fantastic! It gives a similar effect of Benefit’s mascara but with less thickness and is more easily removable. For a drugstore mascara, it’s pretty damn good. Unfortunately, after trying to find a link for you guys, I realised it’s been discontinued!

Eyeliners:
The main eyeliners I use are my Mac Pro Longwear pencil and my Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner which I just purchased and am loving the felt tip pen aspect! I don’t wear eyeliner often, so I can’t say I am overly knowledgable to make a review!

Eyebrows:
I use Benefit’s Gimmie Brow in Light/Medium and Browzings in light. I could probably do with darker colours but this is what the Benebabes matched me to last year and I’ve always been pretty happy with my brows thanks to these products!
