Philosophy Renewed Hope Trial Kit Review

Philosophy Skin Care Trial Kit Review // Maddie's Beauty Spot

I purchased Philosophy Renewed Hope Trial kit in September, after wanting to try more of the Philosophy Skin Care range, other than the the Micro Exfoliating Wash and the Purity Made Simple Deep Clean Mask I purchased from Sephora in January so I thought I’d write up a little review. Philosophy is quite expensive in Australia, and I don’t like to take risks with skin care and makeup products without trying them first. This trial pack made perfect sense!

The trial pack retails for $49AUD at Mecca Maxima, which seems to not be on the website anymore, but this review is worth doing as it reviews three products available in full size at Mecca and David Jones. The cleanser is in 60ml, the eyecream in 7ml, and the moisturiser in 30ml.

Purity Made Simple Cleanser:

I was told this could be used to clean all your makeup, even your eye makeup – good news for lazy people like myself! This actually removes all of most foundations, such as NARS Sheer Glow and L’Oreal True Match, however, with foundations such as Estee Lauder Double Wear, it removed about 85% in my opinion. I just went over it with Micellar water to remove the rest.

This cleanser lathers up, has a pleasant scent which is really faint, and comes out of the bottle in a cream-like solution. It leaves my skin feeling super soft! I washed it straight off with water after lathering and found it all came off easily, as well as my foundation and eye makeup
