September Favourites!

September Makeup and Beauty Favourites // Maddie's Beauty Spot

Welcome to my September Favourites! How are we September already?! I feel like I was writing the August favourites last week, not four weeks ago! I’ve picked up a lot of new things this last month, but I’m still trialling a lot of them out, so for now, my favourites of the month are a lot of old favourites. Onto the products!

First up, I have been loving the Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara I received in last month’s Marie Claire magazine, and have been using it most days. It gives great volume, length, and separation of my lashes, and comes off easily at night. I know a lot of people I follow on Instagram have picked this one up, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on it if you have!

An old favourite this month is my Too Faced Natural Mattes palette which has been getting a fair bit of love in my daily MOTD’s due to it’s versatility in my day-to-day life in an office which probably wouldn’t appreciate my shimmers. I use the top row most for my looks.

I’ve been getting a little more into a heavier base lately, so I’ve been reaching for my Real Techniques Buffing Brush more than my Beauty Blender. It does a great job at buffing in my foundation, as long as I work in small areas at once, otherwise it’s streaky. I usually use this brush when I’m reapplying at night.

MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle, I picked up recently, and I love the colour of this!! I don’t even know how to describe it, it’s pink, it’s peach, and it’s champagne coloured! Like nothing else I own, although maybe a little too shimmery for everyday. I tend to use only a small amount at a time as it’s pretty full on, but I can see it lasting me a very long time with the amount in there!

MAC Cosmetics lipstick in D is for Danger is my current favourite lipstick! It’s a fantastic dark plum red, and I am obsessed with it! You can see a swatch of it here.

I received a few samples of the Glam Glow Thirsty Mud mask, which really helped my skin when it was at it’s driest! I’ve been using this as a moisturiser instead of a mask because my skin is that dry! Next Winter when my skin is super dry again, I’ll be purchasing this, as it was the only product I have seen a real difference in my skin with!

Have you used any of these products before? What did you think?
